Once again our experience here was awesome. Servers were all so nice, and the food was amazing! We sat in the back room where it was warm and cozy. I got the Cubano Vegetariano this time, and it was so yummy. Their black beans are the best. They sang Happy Birthday to our daughter and gave her a free dessert, which was a special treat!

La Bodeguita de Mima captures the heart of Cuban cuisine with a lively atmosphere and bold, authentic flavors. With its inviting decor and charming touches, it's a great spot for both locals and visitors. This restaurant earns a strong 4 out of 5 stars for its delicious offerings and cultural ambiance. The Ropa Vieja En Lata is a standout dish, cleverly presented and packed with flavor. The slow-cooked shredded beef is rich and tender, seasoned to perfection with a savory blend of spices. The creative plating adds a whimsical twist to a traditional classic, making it as fun to eat as it is satisfying. The Vaca Frita also impresses, offering crispy, caramelized edges and a juicy interior. The dish's balance of texture and flavor highlights the skill in its preparation, making it a must-try for beef lovers. While the food shines, the service can occasionally be slow during busy times, which slightly detracts from the overall experience. Additionally, while the atmosphere is lively and inviting, it can get a bit loud for those seeking a quieter dining experience. Overall, La Bodeguita de Mima delivers delicious food with a unique cultural flair, making it a worthwhile stop for anyone craving a taste of Cuba.

Wow! I would drive to Louisville just to come back here. It is quite busy and you should get reservations. We saw the tostones rellenos because we saw them go by and they were as delicious as they look. The mojito was delicious! After much debate, I got the arroz imperial. It was a lot of food but oh so good! My husband got the Cubano and was very happy! We didn't realize how big it this place was. We went out the back into another area where they had a lovely 3 piece band playing. Everyone was so nice and it was run like a well oiled machine.

There's a lot of hype around this place, and you can never help but do a double take every time you walk or drive by because the building is so bright and beautiful and inviting. We finally got to try it and we had a great meal. We started out with the barquitos de malanga, which were like tiny tacos with a crispy tarot root shell. I'm a big tarot root girl and I was excited for these, and I quite liked them, they were interesting. For our started we got the vaca frita and the pollo al mojo. We each liked our entrees! My husband got a mojito and was really hoping it would come with a stick of sugar cane. Shoutout to our server and the bar staff who were able to make that happen. Again, the location is perfection. Gorgeous and super convenient right in NuLu, you can't miss it! The ample interior is dark and moody with lots of Cuban-themed decor. The music is pretty loud, so just be aware. Overall really good experience, I'm glad we finally got to try it!

We went back 2 days ago and again that place is always great. The atmosphere is always lively with music, people singing "happy birthday," etc. The Mahi Mahi is delicious. The yucca is always good as well as the tostones. I love this place like always. If you don't know this you can park in the hotel parking next door. The restaurant will give you the password to validate. Try the Mahi. They also give a military discount.
